Main beach is the most popular beach being well protected
and reached from Hastings Street and from the car parks
in Noosa Woods. Within Noosa National Park there are
three beautiful beaches (no patrols) that can be reached
along the coastal path.
Tea Tree Bay is the nearest
to the car park then Granite Bay and furthest along
is Alexandria Bay which is a clothes optional beach.
Sunshine Beach lies to the south of Noosa Heads and
is a very exposed beach with magnificent sands and can
be reached using Sun Bus service 1 from Noosa Parade
Interchange. It is a dangerous beach as exposed to the
Pacific Ocean and swimming must strictly be done between
the flags, as at all beaches!
Further down the coast
is Peregian Beach with a collection of shops and cafés
and Marcus Beach both beaches on Sun Bus route 1. The
North Shore Beach extends for 40 miles and reached by
4Wd vehicles but too dangerous for swimming.
