Noosa is a great place for kids. The main beach is well protected and north facing and suitable for all ages. Very young kids will enjoy the beaches along the Noosa River.
Playgrounds seem to be limited and the best place is Gympie Terrace. There is a small playground at Lions Park close to Hastings street.
Noosa accommodation is generally kid friendly as many places are apartments with shared swimming pools. There are many Noosa restaurants and easy to find one where kids are welcome.
Noosa Aquatic Centre is an excellent swimming pool and has three pools and one for very young kids that is well shaded. There is also a small pool in Tewantin and one in Eumundi.
Noosa is limited with attractions and there are no big theme parks. Australia Zoo is perhaps the best day visit attraction and about 45 minutes away in Beerwah. And Underwater World which is in Mooloolaba about 30 minutes south of Noosa.
The hinterland has some forest walks and a number of small waterholes.
There is a cinema in Noosa Junction.
